Mom contacted me last minute to see if I could fit in her babies. She had been not feeling well after delivery, so she was worried because they were a little older and we were approaching the holidays. They were actually born a bit early, so it was the perfect time to get them in the studio. 10 short days before Christmas I had just enough time to get them in for a wrapped 1-hour session. I knew that it would be a challenge with two babies, but I was totally up for it and super excited. I haven't photographed a set of newborn twins since 2015!!!!! And I've only photographed about 7 sets of twins total in my photography journey.
These girls didn't disappoint! They were so tiny and looked just like living baby dolls. I actually posted a little behind the scenes image to my FB a few weeks back and I had people commenting to ask if they were real. Yes, they were totally real and slept through the hour and did all the things I asked of them, plus a little lagniappe.
Wrapping/swaddling is baby's favorite way to be. If I have a newborn in the studio that isn't content or wide awake, I will usually swaddle them to get them back in their comfy safe space. They are nice and warm, feel super secure and are easy to move around. Once they are settled, I just snap away.
I really enjoyed meeting their mom and aunt. If you've been my client, then you know I love to talk so it's always nice to get in a good visit while I'm doing what I love. And we had an awesome fun visit. I'm so thankful she found me and trusted me with her babies and these precious memories.
I'd also like to thank their daddy for his service. Go Army! ♥
xoxo,
JB
