Mallory is my first ever senior from Brusly High School!!! Beauty, brains and a talented ball player. She has plans to attend ULL after graduation! So excited for her.
We started off making memories in her neck of the woods and let me just tell y'all........it started off with a bang. I ended up getting completely turned around after I was unable to take the correct exit ramp off of the bridge. Thank you to all the vehicles that refused to let me over, you all nearly gave me a full-on panic attack. Ha! I ended up completely backwards in a construction zone at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge. Wow. My google maps then proceeded to take me around the world and not at all where I needed to be. A quick call to Mallory's mom and luckily she was able to get me back on track. The afternoon was cold and super windy, but the light was beautiful and the sun setting on the ballpark was a perfect ending to our first session. We had plenty of laughs that day and I really enjoyed the change of scenery! I have done a BR senior in Port Allen before about 10 years ago but haven't been there since. So many things had changed since the last time I had been there, but it's always so fun to explore new areas and gain new perspective!
Most seniors these days want to do natural light location sessions, but Mallory opted for a deluxe split session and chose to do a studio session for her 2nd appt which was super exciting. I had all kind of things I wanted to try, and she was up for it.
As always, I had the best time hanging out with her and her mom. The world is small sometimes......turns out her mom and I have mutual friends in common and she used to work with my neighbor.
I'm just so thankful that they chose me to document this special time in her life. Wishing her all the best of luck in the future!
CONGRATS Mallory!
xoxo,
JB
