I'm so grateful that I was able to photograph Alexis!!! She is a Liberty Magnet senior and let me tell ya, this gal is going places. Beauty, brains and bad to the bone.
I always like to ask what my seniors are interested in upon first contact so that I can get an idea of what we want to do for their sessions. I want to incorporate things that they love, ways to express their interests and how to make them comfortable so that we can enjoy our time together. :)
Her mom let me know that she is a 4th degree black belt in martial arts as well as a certified instructor. So I knew we needed a few fun poses and ended our day with a power jump (which may or may not have taken me 2 or 3 attempts to catch her in the air). She is also captain of the archery team at school, leads the robotics team and is a commander for JROTC as well. She has been accepted to the college of engineering at LSU!!!
I see big things in her future, and I'm honored that I was able to spend time documenting the end of her high school journey and the start of the next chapter of her life! How exciting is that!!!!?!
I had a blast with her and her mom! What started out as a beautiful sunny day, quickly turned to close to hurricane force winds and super heavy cloudy skies, but we didn't let that get us down...........we embraced the wind and used it to our advantage! We made it through our session just in time before the storm!
Good luck to Alexis, SENIOR 2 0 2 3!!!!
